The Black Raven’s Curse

When I drank from cups of fire
And ate from plates of snow

To where would darkness follow me?

Little did I know.

Struggling with my thoughts

That black demonic Raven

Followed me to a place

Considered my sweet haven.

I did what I could

Went from one room to another

But gaining on me it flew

All winds beneath each feather.

“Go away dark Raven!”

Was all I had to say

For in my heart true light

Could make it go away.

And so the Raven looked about

In search for one to prey

For victims of the Raven’s power

Grow negative each day.

Depression lay in store for the living

Unless they learn to laugh and play

For darkest Ravens come to stay

When bad omens are on its way.
